Folk School, Gotalnd is a well-known institution for students who wish to continue their studies as adult education program. Huge component of their learning is the emphasis on vocational aspect of this program. Following students are studying social psychology and vocational approach to social work program.
- Anna Hafström – 22 years old. Studied 3 years society/theatre education. She is currently working in three different youth centres in Gotland. She did 2 month internship in Senegal, working on a girls school teaching English and sexual education. She Volunteers, helping newly arrived children with homework and helping when a lot of refugees came to Sweden. She has been travelling through Europe, lived in China when she was 18, visited France several times to go to Taizé.
- Lars-Erik Olsson: 49 years old. He has been a Seaman, Engineer, Welder, Machine operator, Mechanic, Service technician, Forestry Technician, IT technician, Remote control technician, Pneumatics & Hydraulics, Stage technician, Pyro technician, Special effects manufacturing, Winch men, Carpenter, House removals etc. He has worked with Old age care, Day care, Leisure leader, and Open activity for people with disabilities. He has been member of Swedish Maritime Rescue Company, Navy Home, The yacht club Gotland, Missing People, Suicide zero
- Shakil Jalal : 25 years old. He lives in Stockholm but study at Gotland for social educator. He is a positive person and focused on his goals . The reason he chose to go to India is because he wants to develop as a person and also see the difference how organizations work in Sweden and India.
- Therese Jakobsson.: 29 years old. She worked first five years in two cafés and one fast food kitchen during summer brakes. She worked in a home for elderly, in a school kitchen, in restaurants, in two different homes for people with disability, support and service for persons with certain functional impairments and in a place for daily activities for persons with functional impairments. This summer she has been working as a personal assistant to a man with autism, on a home with unaccompanied minors and on a home with people who has some variation in their mental health. She has been to Senegal for two months to a school for girls as a work abroad/ voluntary work from her school, having English lessons and sex educations talk and discussions. She has travelled to India twice; visited Nepal, Sri Lanka, Spain, Cambodia, Vietnam. Tunisia and France and Spain, walking for two and a half months.
- Chatarina Dahlstroem: 26 Years old. She has worked in Youth support , elderly care, , daycare, school as pupil assistant. She has , lived , worked abroad : vacation in turkey, Spain, Denmark, Portugal, Bulgaria and in Greece and Thailand 2 times. School trip to Bosnia and Croatia
- Eva Edfeldt. 45 years old. She works as a teacher in an adult education school , Folkhögskola. When the students have finished school after two years they are prepared to work with social work. She is educated as psychiatric nurse. She lives with her family, her husband Robert and son Isak 15 years old and Llse 13 years old. In her free time she likes to spend time with family, be in the nature and exercise in different ways. She is also interested to meet people from different cultures.
